Abstract

The potential for waqf in Indonesia is very large, but many Muslim communities are not interested in waqf or are not even aware of waqf, especially waqf through crowdfunding platforms. This is caused by factors that must be well understood, such as lack of knowledge and trust. This research identifies the influence of social influence and knowledge on interest in waqf using waqf crowdfunding with e-trust as a moderating variable. The research method used is a quantitative method with a sample of 476 respondents. The testing technique for this research uses the EViews 12 tool. The results of this research show that the Social Influence variable has a positive and significant effect on interest in waqf using Waqf Crowdfunding. Furthermore, the Knowledge variable has a positive and significant effect on interest in waqf using waqf crowdfunding, the e-trust variable also has a significant positive effect on interest in waqf using waqf crowdfunding. The E-Trust variable is able to moderate (strengthen) the influence of Social Influence on Interest in waqf using Waqf Crowdfunding and the E-Trust variable is not able to moderate (weaken) the influence of Knowledge on Interest in waqf using Waqf Crowdfunding. The contribution in this research can broaden the horizons for future researchers, namely as a basis for developing similar research, for institutions it can become a reference regarding the community's interest in giving waqf through crowdfunding platforms. Meanwhile, for the public, this research can provide insight into the concept of cash endowments, especially through crowdfunding platforms.
