In the era of globalization, the development of science and technology has a significant impact on the current economic system. Islamic finance theory is now a much-discussed topic. The differences between concepts in conventional economic systems and Islamic economics often lead to debates. One example is the difference between the time value of money and the economic value of time. This research explores Adiwarman A. Karim's views on the concepts of time value of money and economic value of time. The method used in this research is library research, with data collection techniques through document study and content analysis. The results show that the concept of Economic Value of Time is in line with the principles of Islamic economics. Therefore, understanding and socialization are needed to improve Islamic financial literacy in the community.
