Compliance Analysis in the Shopee Affiliate Program Commission Based on the Review of Fiqh Muamalah

The Shopee Affiliate Program is a widely used platform in Indonesia that rewards users with commissions for each sale. However, it has raised concerns among Muslim users regarding the halal status of these commissions. With growing awareness of sharia-based economic practices, this study aims to examine the program's mechanism and assess its compliance with fiqh muamalah. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through interviews with Muslim affiliates, merchants, and experts from the DSN MUI Center, along with observation and documentation. Secondary sources include literature, journals, MUI fatwas, and Shopee’s official documents. The study found that the commission process from registration to post-sale payment aligns with sharia principles. It meets the requirements of a ju'alah contract and is free from elements of gharar (uncertainty), maysir (gambling), and riba (usury). Therefore, affiliate commissions are considered halal, provided the promoted products are permissible under Islamic law. This research contributes to the development of sharia-based digital economy literature and becomes a reference for Muslim affiliate actors to remain in accordance with the principles of fiqh muamalah in digital marketing activities
