Abstract

The halal media and entertainment industry in Indonesia shows significant growth, especially in publishing, digital applications, films, animation, and Islamic games. However, the development of this sector remains limited due to the absence of an integrated practical model that connects stakeholders in a collaborative ecosystem. This research aims to design a development model for the halal media and entertainment industry using the pentahelix approach. The method used is descriptive qualitative by collecting literature studies in the form of journals, reports and other forms. The findings show that although the halal industry has developed rapidly in various sectors, a practical collaborative model for the media and entertainment segment is still lacking. The proposed pentahelix model suggests synergy among academics, businesses, communities, government, and media to support regulation, innovation, investment, and halal lifestyle promotion. The model contributes by offering an implementable framework for strengthening the halal media and entertainment ecosystem in Indonesia.
