Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of ecoprint activities on the artistic creativity of 5-6 year old children at KB Islam Salsabila Plus Buduran Sidoarjo. Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is recognized as a crucial phase for stimulating various aspects of child development, including artistic creativity. Creativity is a fundamental ability that needs to be nurtured from an early age to encourage idea exploration and self-expression. Ecoprint batik activities, which utilize natural materials such as leaves and flowers to create unique motifs on fabric, emerge as an innovative and eco-friendly method. This method is not only engaging for children but also allows them to interact directly with nature, stimulating imagination, and training fine motor skills. This study aims to identify how the implementation of the ecoprint technique, especially the simple pounding method, can enhance children's capacity to explore ideas and translate them into artworks. Initial observations indicated that some children's artistic creativity was not yet optimally developed, characterized by a lack of initiative and courage in creating new works. This condition highlights the need for research to test the effectiveness of ecoprint batik activities as an enjoyable learning medium that significantly triggers the development of children's artistic creativity.
