Abstract

Evaluation in learning is a process or activity to assess students' abilities in learning. The evaluation system that is widely used is the Paper Based Test (PBT). Weaknesses in PBT can be overcome by using a computer-based test (Computer Based Test). Despite all its advantages, CBT still has weaknesses. The weakness of the CBT system is that it requires a large amount of money to procure computers. A new breakthrough to overcome the above problems is to carry out an Android-based learning evaluation or Android Based Test (ABT). Researchers want to examine several problems, namely 1) Implementation of Android-based exams? and 2) what are the obstacles encountered during the implementation of the Android-based exam? Researchers use a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques take three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Then checking the validity of the researcher's data using data triangulation. The results of the study show that, 1) the planning carried out is preparing infrastructure such as internet networks, making questions and answer keys, uploading questions on the exam page and arranging them according to the exam implementation schedule 2) implementation starts from each student who is given a test card containing username and password to log in on the exam page. Furthermore, at the end after the exam, students can immediately find out the results of their scores that appear on the grades page. 3) Evaluation of the implementation of the Android-based exam is when students take the exam it is hoped that they cannot open other applications so that students cannot cheat. 4) Obstacles when carrying out Android-based exams include unstable internet networks.
