Abstract

The quality of education plays a very important role in improving both the standards and outcomes of educational implementation. Human resource (HR) development can be achieved through education, as quality education produces qualified graduates. In turn, qualified graduates will generate excellent and competitive human resources. This study aims to: (1) describe the management of quality improvement in madrasahs to produce qualified graduates at MAN 2 Pasuruan; and (2) describe the supporting factors of quality improvement in madrasahs to produce qualified graduates at MAN 2 Pasuruan. This research employs a quantitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, with both primary and secondary data sources The results of this research are (1) Quality improvement management can be seen from: a. Planning – quality improvement at MAN 2 Pasuruan is carried out through the formulation of a Strategic Plan (Renstra) and Work Meetings (Raker). b. Implementation – quality improvement is realized through student programs such as talent development, student organizations, and inspirational classes. c. Evaluation – quality improvement is systematically conducted through monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and graduate quality assessment. d. Implications – quality management has resulted in an increase in the number of applicants, improved academic and non-academic achievements, graduates being admitted to leading universities (both domestic and overseas), scholarship opportunities, high commitment among school members, as well as strong support from the community. (2) Quality improvement at MAN 2 Pasuruan is supported by internal factors such as the competence of the principal, teachers, and adequate facilities, as well as external factors in the form of cooperation with leading universities both at the national and international levels to expand graduate opportunities.
