Abstract

This study examines the implementation of murojaah and tasmi’ methods in maintaining Qur’anic memorization at Pondok Pesantren Putri An-Nuriyah Wonocolo Surabaya, a boarding school for female university students. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach within the Living Qur’an framework, the research identified a synergistic model that distinctly separates daily formative murojaah (mandatory before new memorization/ziyadah) and periodic summative tasmi’ (conducted biannually as a requirement for advancing to the next juz). This model creates an effective accountability cycle amid the role conflict experienced by university students. Key supporting factors include qualified instructors, measurable targets, a conducive environment, and constructive use of gadgets, while major obstacles are digital distractions and limited time due to academic demands. Implemented solutions encompass priority scheduling, micro-murojaah techniques, motivational reinforcement, and an “Islamic Digital Detox” policy. The study concludes that a combination of institutional discipline and individual awareness successfully sustains consistency (istiqomah) in Qur’anic memorization in the digital era.
