Abstract

This paper discusses the transformational role of teachers and students in addressing the challenges of education in the global era. Globalization and technological advancement demand a paradigm shift in education that goes beyond knowledge transfer to include character building, 21st-century skills, and readiness to face complex social dynamics. Teachers are positioned as transformational agents who act as facilitators, motivators, and innovators in the learning process, while students are required to become active subjects through the development of student agency, which encompasses independence, creativity, and critical thinking skills. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing various references such as books, national and international journal articles, and relevant reports from global education organizations. The analysis was conducted qualitatively and descriptively, emphasizing the synthesis of transformational leadership theory, 21st-century literacy, and educational practices in the global era. The findings indicate that the synergy between the roles of teachers and students in a transformational approach can produce a highly competitive generation with a global outlook and strong character. The implications of this study highlight the importance of pedagogical innovation and active student participation in building adaptive and transformative education.
