Unhealthy romantic relationships can trigger emotional and psychological distress, especially among adolescents and young adults. This study aims to explore how the process of hijrah is used as a coping strategy by individuals who have experienced toxic relationships. Using a qualitative single-case study method, the subject of this research is a 19-year-old female student. The results of the interview revealed that hijrah became a turning point in the subject's emotional healing journey. Spiritual coping and existential reflection played key roles. This process is analyzed using Lazarus and Folkman's coping theory, Pargament’s religious coping, as well as humanistic and existential psychology theories. The findings indicate that hijrah is not merely a religious shift, but also a meaningful psychological transformation in overcoming emotional wounds from unhealthy relationships.
