Abstract

The continuity of a good financial system in a country, the growth of financial institutions plays a very important role in being able to prosper the community, especially in terms of financing. The purpose of this study is to analyze the restructuring policy of problematic financing in BMT (Baitul maal wa tamwil) as a Sharia Micro Institution with the principle of Mashlahah that seeks to reach small communities in terms of collecting and utilizing ZIS (Zakat, Infaq, and Shadaqah) funds with a profit-sharing system. This article uses the Library Study research method with a Descriptive approach to describe the problems that exist in the research and find solutions to the problems. The result of writing this article is that BMT as an Islamic microfinance institution that plays a role in the social and business fields to prosper small communities must have the authority over policies and settlement efforts in the event of problematic financing or something that harms them. Restructuring is one of the efforts to rearrange financing requirements that are relevant to the DSN-MUI fatwa on the settlement of receivables whose purpose is for the well-being of the people, this is strengthened by several research results that use theories and concepts that are relevant to those studied in this article.
