Abstract

The community service activity in the form of the Bersanad Prayer Training in Sumberame Village was carried out to improve the quality of prayer readings and movements of mosque imams, IPNU-IPPNU cadres, and the general public who still face various errors in carrying out daily worship. This program uses a training-based mentoring approach combined with the talaqqi bersanad method, namely direct learning from teachers who have a scientific sanad, so that participants gain a more authentic understanding and practice of worship. The implementation of the activity included initial observations, preparation of training modules, provision of theoretical materials, practice of talaqqi readings, demonstration of prayer movements, and pre-test and post-test evaluations. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the participants' abilities, especially in aspects of letter makhraj accuracy, reduction of lahn errors, application of tajweed, and understanding of the pillars, obligatory, and sunnah of prayer. In terms of movement, participants experienced improvements in thuma'ninah, the positions of bowing and prostration, and the sequence of movements that were more in accordance with Islamic jurisprudence. In addition to improving technical skills, this activity also increased the imams' confidence in leading congregational prayers, established a network of worship leaders at the village level, and fostered a more sustainable culture of learning to worship with a shared chant. Overall, this training has proven effective in improving the quality of community worship and can serve as a model for sustainable religious development in the village.
