Call for Papers – Vol. 7 No. 1 (December 2026)

FATAWA: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam invites researchers, academics, teachers, practitioners, and postgraduate students to submit original and unpublished manuscripts for publication in Volume 7, Number 1 (December 2026). The journal welcomes high-quality research articles, systematic literature reviews, conceptual papers, and case studies that contribute to the advancement of Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam) in schools, madrasahs, pesantren, higher education institutions, and community-based educational settings. Manuscripts should demonstrate scientific originality, methodological rigor, and significant theoretical or practical contributions while aligning with the journal's focus on Islamic education, curriculum development, pedagogy, character education, educational leadership, digital innovation, religious moderation, and other contemporary issues in PAI. All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening, plagiarism checking, and a double-blind peer-review process conducted by expert reviewers. Authors are invited to prepare their manuscripts according to the journal's Author Guidelines and submit them through the online submission system before the submission deadline. Focus and Scope

FATAWA: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam is an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing scholarly knowledge and innovative practices in the field of Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam/PAI). The journal serves as a platform for disseminating high-quality empirical, theoretical, conceptual, and review-based research that contributes to the development of Islamic education across formal, non-formal, and informal educational settings, including pesantren, madrasahs, schools, universities, and community-based educational institutions. FATAWA promotes interdisciplinary perspectives that strengthen the role of PAI in addressing contemporary educational, social, cultural, ethical, and global challenges while remaining firmly grounded in the Qur'an, Sunnah, and the rich intellectual tradition of Islam. The journal particularly encourages studies that foster educational innovation, character development, religious moderation, sustainable educational transformation, and the integration of emerging technologies into Islamic education.

The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic literature reviews, conceptual papers, case studies, and design-based research covering a wide range of topics, including Islamic Religious Education curriculum development, Islamic pedagogy, teaching and learning innovation, assessment, character education, Qur'anic and Hadith education, Aqidah, Akhlak, Fiqh, Islamic Cultural History, teacher professionalism, educational leadership and management, pesantren education and culture, madrasah and higher education, digital transformation, educational technology, artificial intelligence in PAI, multicultural and inclusive Islamic education, family and community-based Islamic education, educational policy, governance, curriculum reform, and interdisciplinary studies examining the interaction between Islamic Religious Education, society, culture, technology, and sustainable educational development in local, national, and global contexts.
