Publication Ethics

FATAWA: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal follows the ethical principles and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure integrity, transparency, fairness, and accountability throughout the publication process.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must submit original and unpublished work that is not under consideration by another journal. All sources must be properly cited, and any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, or duplicate publication is strictly prohibited. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their research, obtaining ethical approval when required, disclosing any conflicts of interest, and identifying all individuals who have made significant scholarly contributions as co-authors.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based solely on the academic merit, originality, methodological quality, and relevance of the manuscript to the journal's scope. Editors must evaluate manuscripts fairly without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs. They must maintain confidentiality throughout the editorial process and avoid any conflicts of interest.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers assist editors in evaluating the scientific quality and originality of submitted manuscripts through a confidential double-blind peer-review process. Reviews should be objective, constructive, and supported by clear academic arguments. Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by the authors, report any suspected ethical misconduct, maintain confidentiality, and decline review assignments when conflicts of interest exist.

Ethical Oversight

The editorial board investigates all allegations of research misconduct, including plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, and unethical research practices. When misconduct is confirmed, the journal may reject the manuscript, publish corrections or retractions, notify the authors' institutions, or take other appropriate actions in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Commitment to Ethical Publishing

By submitting a manuscript to FATAWA: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam, authors agree to comply with the journal's ethical standards and publication policies. The journal is dedicated to maintaining a transparent, rigorous, and ethical publishing environment that supports the advancement of high-quality scholarship in Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam).
