Evaluating the Content Quality of Grade VII Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) Textbooks in Madrasah Tsanawiyah: A Study of the 2020 Ministry of Religious Affairs Publication

The purpose of this study is to examine the problem of analyzing the suitability of content, presentation, language and graphics in the KMA 183 2019 fiqh book for grade VII Madrassah Tsanawiyah published by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. In his book entitled Fiqh Lessons: Basics of Understanding, Writing, and Using Textbooks or Textbooks. This study uses a qualitative approach method, because it emphasizes more on collecting qualitative data (not in the form of numbers). The type of research is library research. This study uses documents in the form of fiqh textbooks published by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia in 2020 as the main object. Data collection techniques are documentation methods and library research. The results of this study indicate that the feasibility of the fiqh textbook for grade VII semester I and semester II in terms of content is in accordance with the indicators for assessing the feasibility of the book's content, because it is not yet in accordance with the Madraah Aliyah curriculum 183 2019. related subjects. In terms of presentation, it generally meets the assessment indicators for presentation suitability. The assessment of linguistic suitability also complies with EYD (Indonesian Standard of Education), although there are several linguistic errors in this textbook. Furthermore, the assessment of the book's graphical aspects is generally satisfactory. The assessment of the book's graphical aspects is in accordance with the National Book Center's guidelines.
